VALENTINE SWAP

So, remember when I was telling you about this swap a few weeks ago.  What a success!  These are truly fun and I consider these gals my friend even if I only know them in blogland.

It's funny, cuz I will be explainging something to a real life in person friend about one fo my blog friends and they will ask me how I know this person, and then I have to explain, well I don't really know this person, but it is one of the blogs that I follow and I feel like these great women are friends.  Do you ever find youself trying to explain a blog friend?
Anyway, so this is the stuff I got from my Valentines Swapper.  I Love, this apron, I have always wanted an apron and since I don't sew, well I was just hoping one would fall out of the sky.  And Look!  It did.  Thank you again Julie L.

And these are sneak peak pics of what I sent my swapper.  I totally forgot to take a pic of everything I sent.  I hope she enjoys it.

Go here to see more about the swap and joining.

I like to party with these special people and you should too!

4th of July Centerpiece

Since I made soooo many of these and had quite a bit left over from a previous project, I decided to make a centerpiece by making them into flowers.

I started with some small dowels that I had and painted them red and white since I still have no blue paint in the house.

I stuck them in the holes of these wiffle balls that were in these plastic cups so that they can dry.  Then I flipped them over and painted the other end of the dowels.

When they dried I added the ruffled material to the sticks with glue gun.  I wrapped them around the tips of the dowels and then cut a circle felt to cover the bottom of the material where the dowel meets.

Then I got a mason jar that I picked up from Goodwill a few weeks ago for $.69 and filled it with some black marbles and tied some jute around the neck of the jar.  I also inserted 3 of these picks for more flare that I had left over from a previous project.

I love how it turned out and goes great with the table runner and plate that I received from a summer swap I participated in.  Thanks for stopping by.

Linking to the parties on my side bar.

Seasonal Swaperoos Swap Update

I got home the other day to find this box of goodies from my secret swap partner waiting by my front door!  I love getting packages in the mail.  I was so excited to see what kinds of summer things I got.

I love everything Sharon sent.  I got a forth of July table runner as well as a plate and some cup cake holders that will inspire my 4th of July table scape.  I also got some yummy cotton candy, my FAV and some kool-aid mix as well summery stickies.  How did she know I live by stickies, they are all over my desk and folders.  I think my daughter claimed ownership of this diva colored nail polish.  Thank you sooo much for all the wonderful things Sharon!

To be a part of our next swap, go here for details on how to join.
