Beachy Apocarthy

I was missing home and the beach a little bit and wanted to bring the beach feel to my home.  I am thinking of re doing the hall bath in a beach theme in a few months and will be collecting and making things to decorate with.

First off, I had made these apocarthy jars that I got the idea from shanty2chic found here
I filled one with sand that I got from the dollar tree along with some shells I got there as well

And here is how it turned out.  I am liking it.  I wondering if there is a way to get the beach smell too when I take the cover off.

  5. Lovely! I have a love affair with the ocean, but I'm complete a land-locked person, born and raised. Only been to the beach a handful of days in my life, but I love all things beachy, and your jar is perfection.
